Overview
We care for the land in a way that allows the forest to continue providing these essential benefits, while ensuring they thrive for generations to come.
We are committed to delivering the highest quality products and services to our customers, all rooted in a deep respect for the forest. Our work is guided by the principles of stewardship, sustainability, and safety, and every decision we make reflects those values.
Whether it's timber management, outdoor recreation, or the nursery, each of our Forest Resources team is focused on protecting and responsibly managing forest ecosystems. With more than half a million acres under management across the Southeastern United States, we continue to build on our legacy of conservation and care.
The way we manage our forests allows us to promote healthy forests while providing excellence products and service.
Responsible forest management includes practices like thinning, controlled burns, and pest monitoring, which reduce competition for resources and help trees grow stronger. By maintaining a diversity of tree species, ages, and structures, managed forests provide better shelter, food, and breeding grounds for a wide range of wildlife. Forests also act as natural filters. Well-managed forests protect watersheds by reducing erosion and runoff, keeping streams and rivers clean. They absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen, helping to improve air quality.
